С2. Comment on the following statement: In any occupation discipline is more important than talent. What is your opinion? Do you agree with this statement? Write 200–250 words. Use the following plan:

− make an introduction (state the problem)

− express your personal opinion and give 2–3 reasons for your opinion

− express an opposing opinion and give 1–2 reasons for this opposing opinion

− explain why you don’t agree with the opposing opinion

− make a conclusion restating your position

Nowadays a lot of people can apply for a job vacancy.

As a general rule discipline is highly valued and if you want to success in your career, you would do what your boss requires. However some people believe that talent will bring them more profit than other workers.

I, personally, think that the hard work is the key to success. In the first place, thanks to it you can develop your skills and also achieve your career goals. In addition, without discipline we live in chaos and have quarrel with your boss and colleagues. What is more, strict discipline helps us to be flexible in a changing world.

In spite of the fact that discipline is very useful, some people think they should work using talent. Yes, it is wonderful that you are good at your job because it is valued when workers are creative.

I can see this point, However it has a big disadvantage –talent can bring you to leaving any decision-making to other people and it can lead you to the complete immersion in the job and you will be totally given to creativity.

   In conclusion, I want to stress that It goes without saying that talent  can lead to success,  but strict rules and timetables help people to make right decision. That’s why discipline will be always important at all.
