...Last week my mom went to New York to help my aunt with her new baby. My dad and I had to do all the housework ourselves. What kind of family chores do you normally have, if at all? What would you cook for yourself, if you had to? Do you think boys should be able to cook and to keep house, and why?
Next weekend I'm going hiking with my classmates...

Dear John,
Thanks for your letter, I was very glad to get it. Sorry, I have not written for so long because I have been busy with my exams.
In your letter you asked me about my family chores. Well, I usually do washing up and run the vacuum cleaner. And if I feel hunger, I’ll cook fried eggs with sausages and tomatoes. I think that whoever you are boy or girl you should be able to cook at least eggs or salad and keep house in kind of order, otherwise you’ll shame yourself by inviting people to visit you.
You wrote that you were going to hiking the following weekend. How many classmates are going to go with you? Are you close with them? Have you ever gone hiking?
Please write back.
love,
Tanya
